The Picnic Project: Kansas City

10:45 AM

I first heard about The Picnic Project on KCUR's Central Standard program while I was driving between client home visits. Initially, I was most intrigued by the project because I have been researching the fabric printing process and wanted to get a first hand look at the patterns and prints. My excitement quickly turned towards the picnic aspect of the project.

A day of community picnicking, stitching, and art. One of my favorite Sundays of the summer!

Here are a few views of the 10,000 square foot picnic blanket as it was being assembled. Each picnic group could grab a 5x5 foot square, stake it, and kick back.
