I'm still reflecting on my visit to my family in Western Kansas over the weekend. Although bittersweet, it was such a wonderful experience to reconnect with family members that I have lost contact with. Here are a few pics from the weekend!

Wednesday, you are back again, so soon? This has been an incredibly difficult week. My younger cousin is currently making his final journey. A short but very purposeful life, my cousin AJ has taught us what unconditional love truly is. I'm looking forward to returning to my hometown in Western Kansas to spend time with my family. Much of this week's list reminds me of the little ways to stay connected with my roots.
First in line at the post office. I've got embroidery hoop art to mail and customers to mail them to!
Another fun Instagram Photo A Day Challenge from Fat Mum Slim. A few more updates for August!

I needed a little outlet from new pattern making. Sometimes it feels nice to just color inside the lines.
I moved just a few over from last week. These lists keep me on track and ground me in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the work days.
Visit my Listography.
I am currently accepting custom orders for embroidery hoop art. Anticipated turn around for the art is 1-2 weeks, rushed orders may be available upon request.
The holiday rush and craft show season will soon be upon us. I will be accepting custom requests until October 2012.
Need a unique gift for a friend but not feeling particularly creative? Send me a link to their Instagram, Pinterest boards, or any other social media outlets. I can help to create a design that fits with their interests and style. My inspiration stalking skills are free with the order.
Visit my Etsy shop to see my work! While you are there, you can send me a conversation regarding your custom request. I can also be reached me at heypaulstudios@gmail.com.
Prior to this blog, I had another love. Spec-ta-cles was my first real attempt at starting a blog. The recent move came after the rebranding process. The need for the new URL was strong. Take a bit to stroll through my old blog. I'm slowing migrating information over. Lots of color, pictures, and stitches.
This current stitch project is begging me to complete it. I have started and stopped it a number of times. This is much more daunting than my normal monotone work.
Here is what the finished product should eventually resemble!
Despite the mitigating factors (drought, my medical leave, busy schedules), our garden produce was plentiful. Time to compost and prep for next year. I envision the tiny garden to be filled with soy beans next summer.
